Bethany Lutheran Church - Johnson County, KS

Stillwell Congregation - Sound System

This congregational facility in Stanley opened in 2005 and features a small speaker cluster with sub-woofer neatly integrated into the exposed framework. A variety of wired and wireless mics are routed to both a 24 channel analog mixer and Digital Signal Processor (DSP)

The DSP implements equalization and time alignment signal processing. The processing parameters and speaker coverage were developed in an EASE acoustical model prior to actual construction. The DSP also provides for a hands free, automatic mode that allows operation by untrained lay members. The DSP is also programmed to provide subtle reinforcement to the Allen electronic organ.

Overland Park Congregation - Family Life Center

AVplusDesign has provided acoustical analysis, corrective recommendations, and planning for upgrades that are under consideration for the current Family Life Center.

Christ Community - Leawood KS

Christ Community's original sound system in their Leawood auditorium lacked speech clarity and provided uneven coverage. One option was to install a new sound system. After analyzing their needs and the existing equipment AVplusDesign recommended adding components to the main cluster and relocating their location. By modifying the existing system costs were kept to about one third the price of a new system. This savings allowed for the purchase of a digital mixing console.

Key to finding a working solution was the extensive use of EASE acoustical prediction and modeling software. EASE provided a way to study the existing loudspeaker cluster; the potential effects of changing the cluster and determining the optimal location.
